In partnership with the WPIAL, MSA Sports broadcasts high school games throughout the school year with the focus being that of district 7 matchups.  MSA Sports makes every effort to represent each school at least twice throughout the school year, but is under no obligation to do so. The selection process for games to be broadcast has many facets – games which match up geographically with our affiliate stations, schools that are not being covered via another station within the western PA listening area, high profile matchup games, games for schools with more “advertiser requests”, etc.  In many instances, MSA Sports is not the sole source of selecting which games will be broadcast.

In addition to the selected regular season games that are broadcast throughout the course of the year, MSA is contractually obligated to carry all Championship games for WPIAL-sanctioned sports, as well as select sports playoff games.

In order to best ensure that your schools games / events are broadcast with regularity, it is advantageous to participate in the Hometown Broadcast offering.  Some of the benefits of purchasing a Hometown Broadcast package are:

• Allowing the school to broadcast the events that they
  want broadcast
• Providing regular coverage of the schools events – with MSA Sports providing the venue for both live and archived playback (no additional storage / web site costs for the school)
• Ability for the school to use the broadcasts as a means
  for fundraising – all advertising dollars sold/aired during
  a schools Hometown Broadcast remain the property of
  the school
• Providing a great hands-on experience for
  students interested in broadcasting, audio
  production, public speaking, and other related
  fields of study
